Vincent Girardin Chevalier Montrachet 2014, (VN94+) from The BPW - Merchants of rare and fine wines.

Vincent Girardin Chevalier Montrachet

Vintage: 2014
Region: France--Burgundy--White
Appellation: Chassagne Montrachet, Cote de Beaune

VN94+
Rated 94+ points by VINOUS: `(this wine was aged in one new and one five-year-old barrel): Bright light yellow. Aromas of fresh peach, white flowers, liquid rock and medicinal herbs. Enters the mouth fine-grained and lush, then turns firmer and a bit austere, in the style of the Bienvenues. But this energetic, deep wine is longer and more refined on the palate-staining aftertaste. These grand crus were bottled in April of this year and Germain noted that they got better and better through their long elevage.` -- Stephen Tanzer in VINOUS, September 2016
